SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT (FLEET MANAGER), SINGAPORE  

Singa Ship Management Pte Ltd (SSM) ‐ part of the international Tailwind group headquartered in Norway, is seeking an internationally oriented Senior Superintendent with maritime/technical background to further strengthen Tailwind’s technical platform in Singapore.

In addition to handling all operational and technical matters with respect to Tailwind owned vessels, the successful candidate is expected to assist in the management of other vessels in which SSM is involved.

Experience
To be considered for this job, you will have had sea going experience as Chief engineer/ Master Mariner. Experience with shore based position is not considered essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
To treat safety and quality as the prime concern

To be the marine link to Charterers on all operational issues
1
To respond and follow‐up of vessels correspondence
1
To be the expert on navigational and engineering practices and issues
1
To participate in selection of senior seagoing staff, ongoing training, appraisal and development
1
To prepare operating Budget
1
To visit vessels around the world to conduct audits and compliance inspections
1
To be based in Singapore ‐ with a number of travelling days
1

QUALIFICATIONS:
Chief Engineer/Master Mariner/ or other relevant background
1
Good knowledge of technical management/operation of Bulk/Tanker/Gas/PCTC vessels
1
Computer literacy in the use of databases and spreadsheets
1
Proactive, result oriented abilities ‐ a team builder who can motivate people
1
Proven management and leadership skills
1
Excellent English skills both orally and written.
